What documents do I need?

As a DVLA registered number plate supplier, it is our responsibility to check your legal entitlement to the registration you are asking us to manufacture for you. You need to provide us with 2 document reference numbers that prove your name, address and entitlement to the registration. These reference numbers must be traceable to you and can be obtained from us by the Police, DVLA or the DVSA without notice at any time for any reason. We are required by law to collect this information from you.

You can use one of the following to confirm your name and address:

  • Driving Licence, with or without a photo (Does not have to be issued in the UK)
  • Utility Bill (Council Tax, Gas/Electricity bill (From the last 6 months)
  • Bank or Building Society statement (From the last 6 months)
  • National ID Card (Issued by the Government of a State or territory other than the United Kingdom)

You can use the following to confirm your entitlement to the registration:

  • Vehicle registration certificate (V5C)
  • New keeper slip (Green slip)
  • Certificate of entitlement (V750) to the registration
  • Retention document (V778)
  • Vehicle Tax reminder or SORN (V11)
  • Temporary registration certificate (V379)

How do I submit my documents?

Once we have received your order, you will receive an email with details on how you can provide us with the relevant documents for us to be able to legally provide you with the plates. Once we have received and checked them, your order will be produced and shipped.

Please keep an eye out for our email (check junk/spam folder) to ensure there are no delays to your order.

It is important that on the checkout page you ensure the "Email me with news and offers" is checked in order to receive instructions from us. (Don't worry, we wont spam you with unnecessary emails)

How long will my order take?

Once we have checked your documents, we will then process, print and ship your order. Plates are usually shipped in 1-3 working days after receiving and checking your documents.

Are 4D and 3D plates road legal?

Yes, our 4D and 3D number plates are 100% road legal, MOT compliant and adhere to the current British Standard (BS AU 145e)

The characters comply with the criteria set out in the BS AU 145e.

  • They must display solid black characters in the prescribed Charles Wright font which complies with the rules governing size, spacing, grouping and positioning.
  • Number plates may optionally have raised 3D characters of plain black colour (known as 4D number plates) provided that they meet all requirements of British Standard BS AU 145e.

All road legal number plates must:

  • Be the correct size as set out in the rules.
  • Have white reflective background for the front plate, yellow reflective for the rear plate and both have reflective properties that comply with the British Standard BS AU 145e
  • Have physical resilience properties that comply with the British Standard BS AU 145e.
  • Display solid black characters in the prescribed Charles Wright font and comply with the correct size, spacing, grouping and positioning.
  • Bear the suppliers name, postcode and the manufacturers mark.
  • Bear the current British Standard number, BS AU 145e.
